Description
As part of a major renovation project, GSS and partner Rothwell Plumbing Services, have designed and installed a ground loop system consisting of 36 boreholes to a depth of 150m. This will provide heating and hot water to the 71 individual flats over 9 storeys.
This renewable energy system will replace old and inefficient gas boilers and will enable gas to be removed from the block giving both safety and environmental benefits aswell as providing the residents with a comfortable and reliable system.
Manchester City Council have recently declared a climate emergency and are looking to drastically cut carbon emissions. By replacing the old gas system the Liverton Court scheme is contributing to the fight against climate change, improving air quality and cutting their carbon emissions.
